PitchIllinois is a hackathon created by high school students for high school students across Illinois and the Midwest. For 12 hours, participants collaborate to build projects from scratch, attend hands-on workshops, and gain valuable experience in a startup-like environment. Afterwards, participants pitch their ideas to the audience and are given feedback from a panel of judges. We hope to build a welcoming community with PitchIllinois, and to help students to bridge the gap between learning computer science and using it to make a difference.
PitchIllinois will be held on February 24, 2024 from 8:30am-6pm at the University Laboratory High School and neighboring facilities in Urbana, Illinois. More details to come.
